What Type of DSC is Required for ICEGATE?

ICEGATE requires a Class 3 DSC — either Individual or Organisation type. Key requirements:

  • The name on the DSC must match the name of the registered ICEGATE user or the authorised signatory
  • Organisation DSCs must have the company's PAN and name embedded
  • The DSC must be issued by a CCA-licensed Certifying Authority (eMudhra, Capricorn, Vsign, etc.)
  • Both 1-year and 2-year validity certificates are accepted

How to Register a DSC on ICEGATE

  • Login to icegate.gov.in with your user ID and password
  • Navigate to Profile → DSC Registration
  • Insert your USB token and click Register DSC
  • Select the appropriate certificate from the token
  • Enter your token PIN when prompted
  • Confirm registration — a success message appears with your DSC serial number
  • From that point, all ICEGATE filings will require PIN authentication via the registered token
